Willey Boy was a 100 pound Old English Sheepdog. He participated in obedience classes each week, earning two titles and also practiced herding sheep and earned two herding titles. In 2007 Willey Boy finished his championship in the dog show ring. His Guardian and partner Barbara Webb spent more than 10 hours a week grooming him to be cuddly.

Barb and Willey Boy were a registered Pet Partner team for several years and worked many hours with Whatcom Therapy Dogs. His favorite activity was sitting calmly and quietly while his friends petted, talked to and loved on him.

Willey Boy was chosen for the starring role in the WWU comedy play, “The Dog Problem”. He could sit perfectly still on stage for fifteen minutes while the lead actor gave his major soliloquy. The audience both laughed and sighed as the actor reviewed their tender moments in life together. Rehearsals were late evenings for one week. Stage and crew members came for pets in between scenes, so he was also working in his therapy capacity. Willey Boy was the star of the show!
